Who are we?

​

Amber’s Bell Tent Camping is a small family business started in North Norfolk in 2013. We offer camping holidays in exclusive locations, catering mostly for family holidays but we offer exclusive hire options for parties, get togethers, stags, hens etc.

 

Our sites are in the grounds of historic houses, famous attractions, pristine re-wilding estates, pick your own farms and award winning brewery farms on historic parkland. We have a site for everyone!

What to expect...

​

All of our sites offer 6m off grid canvas bell tents; some with wood burners, some without. All of our tents have a spacious awning and small porch deck. All of our tents have a proper double bed with all bedding included and up to 4 camp beds for the kids also with bedding included. We provide everything you will need for a traditional family camping holiday without the hassle of having to bring all the gear, pitch and pack up the tent etc. All of our tents will have a cool box, kitchen box full of utensils, crockery, cooking pots etc, and all of our pots will be able to be used on our outside firepits/bbq’s. We also offer gas stoves to purchase on most sites but you’re welcome to bring your own. We provide extra blankets for chilly nights.

You will be sleeping under canvas…..it might get cold at night…even in the tents with stoves…..they won’t stay lit all night.

All of our sites are in the countryside...
 

• It will be dark (and possibly cold) at night…..

• There will be bird and animal noises at night

• From time to time there may be animals on site such as deer, sheep, moles and mice

• You will get insects in your tent

What we don’t provide...

​

• Our sites are almost 100% off grid….but you will find running water, showers and toilets and washing up facilities. You will have to share facilities with other campers. 

• You won’t have electricity in your tent…on most sites there will be minimal electricity outlets for charging phones etc. You will have a cool trunk in your tent for keeping food cold and there will be a freezer on site full of ice packs.

• There is no WIFI on any of our sites…..we are offering a back to nature experience; a get away from modern life…..peace and quiet and time with your loved ones (or on your own!)

• We do not offer spa experiences; we don’t have hot tubs and there’s no bars or clubhouses. Our sites are beautiful and remote; they are wild but cared for; they offer you the chance to stay in surroundings normally off limits to the public. If you are organising a party and have booked the whole site you are welcome to organise bars, food trucks, massages etc as long as you clean up after yourselves and the extra vehicles are removed from site before your stay finishes.

• We don’t allow cars on our sites….we want you to relax and let the kids run around knowing they are safe. We provide wheels barrows in the car parks to transport your luggage to your tent.

Checking in...

​

As we have so many guests arriving during a check in day, our sites are set up so that you can check your self in without any staff on site. Your tent will be ready for you from 4pm on check in day. Please make sure you make a note of your tent name before you leave home, and please download and read the site info pack for your site. A link will be sent to you on your booking confirmation email but you can find them here too.

 

You’ll have a phone number for a member of staff for your site, so if you have any issues and no-ones on site, just call and we’ll be glad to help.
